Deep in the Barahona region of the Dominican Republic, our healing paradise awaits. A hidden gem where freshwater cascades turn into natural pools and birding heavens are tucked amid mountain ranges. This retreat is a five day magical voyage nestled in the Sierra Barahuco Mountains and the shimmering Caribbean below. Your time spent with us will bring you back to a healthy level of energy and connect you to what is sacred.
Our days will begin with a heart opening vinyasa yoga practice led by Shayne Cohen (open for all levels.) Followed by outdoor adventures that will make you feel one with nature. Through the practice of self-love, yoga, breath work, meditation, sound baths, kirtan, temazcal, organic food, daily nature excursions, and wellness treatments we will open our Anahata Chakra and find spiritual grounding through these holistic healing methods.

“The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness.”
Vinyasa Yoga is an energetic form of yoga where students move fluidly from one pose to the next, synchronizing breath to movement. Shayne’s classes integrate a dynamic flow with the application of precise alignment, meditation, visualization, intention and chanting to take you on an inner journey toward healing and empowerment.
Classes begin with chanting to prepare the mind for a deeper state of consciousness and meditation during asanas (physical practice). Shayne teaches her students that yoga is a sacred practice. If it’s not devotional, it’s not yoga. Each class is designed to stimulate the organs, glands, nervous system and move freshly oxygenated blood to the entire body as you release tension while developing faith and intuition.
Bahia de las Aguilas is an eight kilometer long beach along the southwestern coast of the Dominican Republic near the southernmost part of the border with Haiti. The bay is part of the Jaragua National Park, and it is considered by many Dominicans as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
You will experience a beautiful combination of stress relief and deep stretching, engaging body, mind, and spirit in this Ying & Yang yoga class with a mix of Hatha. The experience concludes with a sound bath which awakens a sense of love and devotion. Designed for all levels.
Kirtan is a sing along of mantras, through which we find our way back to our center, our heart and our relationships with each other. Chanting mantras connect us with the spiritual wisdom. These ancient chants contain a transformative power and healing energy. We will sing, drum and dance to express our love and devotion.
